Course Description

How do we understand what a passage of the Bible means, and how it applies today? This course teaches a clear, practical method for studying the Bible: careful observation, faithful interpretation and right application. You will learn to read each passage in its context, to recognise the different kinds of writing in Scripture (such as narrative, law, poetry, prophecy and letters), and to avoid common mistakes in interpretation. By the end you will be able to study a passage on your own and explain its meaning with confidence.
