Course Description

This course traces the history of the Christian Church from the time of the apostles to the present day. You will look at the early Church and its persecution, the great councils and creeds, the medieval Church, the Reformation, and the modern missionary movement. Along the way you will meet key people and events, and see how the Church has faced challenges and errors in every age. Knowing this history helps believers understand where their faith and traditions come from, and learn from those who went before.

About the Instructor

Dr. Mighty Porus holds a Ph.D. in the History of Christianity from Ebenezer Theological Seminary, Kerala. He is Academic Dean of Maranatha Theological Seminary, Hyderabad, and adjunct faculty at India Theological Seminary (AP & Telangana). He also serves as Associate Pastor of Yehovah Shammah Pentecost Church, Visakhapatnam.
