Course Description

Homiletics is the study of preaching. This course teaches you how to prepare and deliver sermons that are faithful to the Bible and centred on Christ. You will learn to choose a passage, find its main idea, build a clear outline, and use explanation, illustration and application well. The course also covers delivery and how to preach to the needs of your listeners. It is designed for pastors, preachers and Bible teachers who want to proclaim God's Word clearly.

About the Instructor

Rev. Dr. David Mende is pastor-teacher at El-Shaddai Assembly of God Church, Hyderabad. He is adjunct faculty at Southern Asia Bible College (SABC), Bangalore; Hyderabad Institute of Theology and Apologetics (HITHA); and SUM Bible College & Theological Seminary, California, USA. He holds a Master's in Computer Science from Osmania University, a Master of Divinity from SABC, and a Doctor of Ministry from SAIACS. His books include The Dangers of the Health and Wealth Gospel, The Prophets Speak Today (on Habakkuk and Malachi), The Passion of Christ (on Mark 14–16), Good News of Great Joy!, and Powerful Sermons for Special Occasions. His ministry is marked by Bible-centered and Christ-centered preaching and teaching.
