Course Description

This course introduces the main beliefs and practices of the world's major religions, including those most common in India. For each one you will look at its origins, its view of God, humanity and salvation, and how its followers practise their faith. The course compares these beliefs with the Christian faith, helping you understand your neighbours better and speak about Christ with respect, clarity and confidence.

About the Instructor

Rev. Sudhakar Mondithoka is Director of HITHA and a writer, speaker, apologist, evangelist and Bible teacher. He holds an M.Sc. in Zoology and an M.Ed. in School Administration from Osmania University, and an M.A. in Philosophy of Religion and Ethics from Talbot School of Theology, Biola University, USA, where he won the Baker Book House Award for Excellence in the Study of Theology. He is pursuing his Ph.D. at Biola University. He is visiting faculty at SAIACS (Contemporary World Religions & Christian Apologetics; Ethics) and at SABC (Christian Apologetics & Philosophy of Religion). He has also taught at ICCS (OM-India) and other seminaries and Bible colleges. He wrote God – Science and Scientists and contributed to Missiology for the 21st Century: South Asian Perspective and the IVP Dictionary of Mission Theology. He is a member of the Evangelical Philosophical Society and the Evangelical Theological Society, USA. He was ordained in 2001 at East West Community Church, USA.
